Thursday evening--Update with CT result
CT results showed everything fine as far as diverticulitis, but also showed a "spot" still present on Jason's kidney. After over 24 hours of trying to reach him, we never have received a return call from our PCP (I think we are going to find a new one, because this is ridiculous!!). We have a consult scheduled with a surgeon for 8:30am Thursday, although his office doesn't believe they can do the surgery until the following Thursday. Jason has enough pain meds to last until this consultation, and we are hoping the surgeon will be willing to prescribe more during the week waiting period. Jason's pain is still significant, but the medicine is giving him enough relief to make it tolerable, as long as he just lays around and doesn't try to do very much. His side is still bulging :-( We are praying that whatever it is will not be made worse by this wait.

Hi, I stumbled on to your page because I saw you listed under homeschooling and we like very similar things. (I started out rabbit trailing from tatting)
I was struck by the medical issues you folks are going through and I just wanted to let you know I'll be praying for your husband and children and for your strength to persevere.
I don't do blogs, but I decided to sign up on this because I felt compelled to contact you.
Will try to check on you again as I'm able.

Please, as the "home manager" of a family with medical needs, PLEASE don't write off your PCP yet, but try to call them a few times and be persistent. Often times, they just don't get the messages relayed to them like they should. Of course, if you do find that it is their fault, then I would be sure to drop them faster than a hot coal.
Your family is on my mind frequently.
