Pre-Op Appointment

We went to the hospital for Jason's pre-op appointment today. This went pretty well and they actually got his blood taken with the first stick (usually they have to poke him over and over again). The nurse was able to give us some good, practical advice about his medications over the next couple of days--ways that might help his stomach to handle it better. So far, so good, today. He is nauseous, but we don't really know whether this is from the medicines themselves or just the lack of food in his stomach. At any rate, it isn't unbearable for him.

I have finished most of my harder tasks, and now have some general organizing, planning, list-making and packing to do. We still aren't sure whether or not he is going to be in a private room or whether he will have a roommate. Obviously, we are praying he can be alone so that I can stay with him. But, if not, I guess I'll just be going back and forth. Hopefully, tomorrow will be quiet and uneventful as we are both hoping to get plenty of rest before things get crazy.

Thank you for your prayers.
