I was blessed to spend the day accomplishing much of what I have planned to do before Wednesday. Today, my wonderful mother-in-law and a dear friend from church came over to help me put things in order around my house. We got all of the bedding washed, cleaned both bathrooms, did a detailed vacuuming of the back rooms in the house, and took down our Christmas tree (finally!) and put away the Christmas decorations in the garage. It is nice to have the space back. I also got meal plans made through Feb 12th and shopped for the groceries (again the Lord was gracious and provided financially for this). Lord willing, I would like to have most of the things done by Monday evening, so that we can spend Tuesday resting up and relaxing before things get bad.
Tomorrow evening will be Jason's last meal for awhile. Monday and Tuesday will be a clear liquid diet, and he will be fed through a tube for at least a few days after the surgery. Jason's pain has been pretty bad today. His pain pill wears out before it is time for another one. He is not sleeping well (neither am I actually). We are both concerned about the outcome and pray that the outcome is successful. Hopefully, after working so hard all day today, I won't have as much trouble sleeping this evening ;-)
Thank you for your prayers. We know that, without the Lord and our brothers and sisters in Christ, this would be a much greater trial.
